About The Club

About the club

Welcome to Broomwood Football Club

Broomwood FC is an FA Charter Standard volunteer-run community football club founded in 1988 and based in South West London. The Club has over 1,200 children (including over 250 girls) playing in age groups from Reception to Year 12, which makes us one of the largest youth football clubs in the UK.

We are non-selective and open to all with an ethos of inclusion and community engagement.

Broomwood FC

For Kids

The ethos of the club is simple: for kids of all abilities to be encouraged to come and have fun playing football, and hopefully develop some skills, friendships and respect through doing so. The club is run entirely by the parents and everyone is expected to participate from setting up cones and goals through coaching and running of the club. This is what creates the unique atmosphere – so come along, join in and help out.

AFC Wimbledon

(Partner Club)

AFC Wimbledon and the AFC Wimbledon Foundation are the closest professional football club to Broomwood FC.

In March 2014 the AFC Wimbledon formally launched the AFC Wimbledon Foundation, the charitable foundation that coordinates the various community projects in which the Club is involved.

Since its formation in 2002, the Club has always sought to deliver a broad range of community projects, and the AFC Wimbledon Foundation will continue this work with local organisations to address issues around education, health, social inclusion and unemployment for people of all ages in Merton, Wandsworth and Kingston.

The partnership with Broomwood FC was established in 2017 with the aim of providing coaching support, playing opportunities and building stronger long term links between our clubs.
